One of the most pivotal forms of engineering we perform with mold builds is our rapid prototyping services. While our rapid prototyping capabilities don’t use the mold itself – we use 3D printing – we do use the exact same polymer choice your team has selected for the program run and this allows us to help shape the design of the mold and ensure mold and product design match properly.
GAIM Plastics’ quality management systems and control procedures cover every aspect of an injection molding program – including operations that take place outside of our facility. We perform routine inspections and work closely with the chosen tool builder to ensure molds are being built correctly and are following design specs. When finished molds arrive on site, we review and further inspect them for any defects, and then perform testing to ensure proper DFM operations have occurred and the mold is ready for the program to begin.
